The city of Marrakech is divided in three very different distrticts, the old town Medina, Hivernage the garden area with big hotels and Gueliz the new town, which appeals to me least. The French haven't left much to admire in this Ville Nouvelle as in other Moroccan cities.

Worst place city center of Marrakesch. Some merchants are unfriendly and aggressive. Due to that we finally did not buy anything. We would have spend quite some money on leather stuff.

Visit the amazing Majorelle Garden, now known as the Yves St Laurent Memorial Gardens. The Moroccan blue is so bright and vivid, you have to see it! Amazing.
